One of New Zealand’s foremost educational institutions, Christchurch High School for Girls, has installed NetSupport School in its ICT labs.

The market-leading Classroom Management solution has helped facilitate a much more focused approach to computer led lessons with teachers able to call upon a wide range of PC monitoring and real-time presentation tools. Although software of this nature can sometimes arouse suspicions among students, especially those who would prefer to have a little more freedom to surf, Christchurch High have been able to offset these concerns by extolling the virtues of the product as a collaborative tool that has many features designed to aid topic understanding.

NetSupport School encourages group working, with the Teacher able to delegate certain tools to selected students or “Group Leaders”. Within their Group, these Leaders can show their screen to selected students, conduct a group chat and/or collaborate on coursework - perhaps as part of project work.

Another useful aid to learning is the Student Journal feature which provides a full digital record of all resources and information presented to the student during the lesson. A Student can add notes and screenshots to this at any time. At the end of class, each student has a full summary of the lesson content which can be used to help with homework or revision.
